Why Just Cook for Kids?
Just Cook for Kids is a registered 501c3 public charity and the brainchild and passion of Dr. Maya Adam who is currently teaching child health and nutrition at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
Maya is passionate about helping parents shift their family’s eating away from processed foods and back towards fresh, simple homemade meals. Real foods, prepared with love and eaten with family or friends, can foster a lifelong preference for nutritious, delicious foods.
By involving kids in the cooking process, they learn to love the foods that will support good health and enjoyment throughout their lifetimes. “Kids understand more when you involve them, whenever possible, in the shopping, cooking and eating of real, fresh foods. In this way, we can empower them to take charge of making the right eating choices from a young age”.
